Community at the Market: CPRC School Supplies & Uniform Drive

Cheverly Community Market is a proud supporter of the Cheverly Parent Resource Center, a longtime Cheverly institution that does a great deal for good for families in our community. We were proud to host the CPRC Spellman school supplies drive at our July 27 market, and CPRC 2012-2013 Co-Chair Chase O’Brien shared this great news:

On behalf of the Cheverly Parents Resource Center, THANK YOU CHEVERLY!! In just one Community Market, we reached our goal for the Supplies for Spellman Project. Thanks to many generous people, we collected enough money to purchase all of the school supplies on our list. There will be many happy and prepared children on the first day of school.

Since many of you stopped by the CPRC table and asked if you can make a donation at the next market, we are going to continue our support for Spellman. We will use your donations to purchase uniforms. And YES! - we will continue to give away books in exchange for your donations. We will also have a bin to collect gently used uniforms! Thank you for being so generous -- this spirit of community is one of the very best things about Cheverly! Please stop by the CPRC table this Saturday and make a donation for uniforms for Spellman students. Cheverly has a great tradition of helping people in need, and this is a wonderful opportunity to get local kids of on the right foot this school year!

Visit CPRC at the Market this Saturday and make a difference in a student's school year. In late June, CPRC kicked off its 2013/2014 School Supply Driveto benefit Cheverly’s own Gladys Noon Spellman Elementary School. 

Make a donation by cash or check (you can also make donations online via Paypal), or bring purchased supplies to the Market this Saturday. A complete list of needed items is  on the CPRC website.

And make sure to vote for CPRC as the Best Parent Education Program in the Awesome Awards, sponsored by Red Tricycle and Zulilly.

Community Groups at the Market: CPRC Gladys Noon Spellman Elementary School Supplies Drive

For the past several summers, Cheverly has come together as a community to collect school supplies for Gladys Noon Spellman Elementary School.  This year, CPRC is taking the lead on this project. If you want to make a donation but don't have time to do the shopping, CPRC will do it for you. Just stop by the CPRC table at this Saturday for details. If you do have supplies to donate, please drop them off at the CPRC table at the Market.
