UPDATE: Due to weather, HarvestMarket HAS BEEN CANCELLED

IMPORTANT UPDATE
Unfortunately, it appears that Cheverly will be hit by some heavy rains Friday night and Saturday. Because we don't have an indoor option this Saturday (due to the Flea Market) we, reluctantly, must cancel this weekend's HarvestMarket. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope that you'll join us on Saturday, November 22 for the Thanksgiving Market. Thanksgiving Market is indoors at the Community Center, so rain or shine (or frost!) we'll be up and running!
This weekend, come see what makes Cheverly Community Market such a treasure (and pick up a few treasures of your own while your with us!) Basignani Winery joins us this weekend – we haven’t seen them in awhile, so this is a real treat! The Basignani vineyards are in Butler County – horse country north of Baltimore. They’ve been making exceptional wines for 15 years. Make sure to buy a bottle or two (or a case…the holidays are coming!) Pax River Alpacas will bring amazing yarns and felted gifts to the Market this weekend, as well as a few very special guests (alpacas!) Alpaca yarn is especially soft and a great choice for knitting up gifts! Al Pong will be coming again – you may have met him about two months ago at the market. He has beautiful plants, and this week he’ll bring Chinese Tree Peony plants. The Hot Noodles, Cheverly Community Market’s very own house band, will be bringing the mid-temp rock with a full line-up (all four members!) Jug Bay Farms can cover all your pumpkin needs for the week ahead! In addition to traditional orange pumpkins, Scott will have gourds, indian corn, acorn squash, sweet potatoes, greens and maybe some beans. And a very special treat: Jug Bay will have a limited supply of BLUE pumpkins They are an Australian variety and great for baking. Krishon Chocolates will be back this Saturday with a wonderful new confection: a new kind of caramel -- coconut. Eric makes these caramels using the best ingredients: Fair Trade organic evaporated cane juice, organic corn syrup, Trickling Springs cream (and Eric’s very own fresh butter), coconut oil, coconut cream, dark chocolate and rolled in toasted coconut. Of course, Eric will bring truffles, his signature Goddess Bars and bark as well. Great gifts…great Saturday afternoon treat! Budgie Bird Kitchens’ Claire Flintoff has been busy baking chocolate-ginger cookies and pumpkin bread, as well as pecan pie (samples – you can order full pecan pies at the Market and, if you live in Cheverly, she will deliver!) Cheverly United Methodist Church will have tea, hot chocolate and apple cider this week, plus that great free/fair trade organic coffee (and with the chilly weather, a cwarm cup will certainly be a treat!) They’ll also have a limited supply of Dutch Garden bulbs. Pre-orders will be available for pick up at the CUMC Coffee Booth, or email Melanie Hartwig-Davis. Circle C Oysters, Martha's Jams, Mystic Water Soaps and Cherry Glen Goat Cheese will have wonderful treats for your home, table and body. Moctec tortillas and chips and fresh bread and pastries from Uptown Bakers will complete the lineup for HarvestMarket. This will be an amazing Market. Bring your friends and family – make sure to come early – enjoy a breakfast treat (or two), a hot beverage (or two) and great local music, choose the perfect pumpkin for the best jack-o-lantern you’ve ever made, and take care of your shopping (and stocking up on holiday gifts!) … and do it all right in your own neighborhood. Truly a unique Cheverly experience! See you at the Market!
