Looking for a fun outing this weekend?

Do we have something for you! It's time for the St. Mary's Oyster Festival, this Saturday and Sunday, October 18&19 at the St. Mary's County Fairgrounds. Our very favorite oyster rancher, Rich Pelz of Circle C Oyster Ranch will be there, and so will many fellow bi-valve aficionados. There's a cookoff, lots of entertainment and great food, and shucking contests. Get complete information and directions on the festival website ... and enjoy those oysters! My mouth is watering just thinking about all those lovely oysters! Note: I've just revisited their website -- the National Oyster Shucking Contest and Cookoff will be taking place this weekend...this is a big deal, folks!
