This week at the Market: Natural Nick's Produce

Since Natural Nick's Produce joined Cheverly Community Market at the beginning of the 2013 season, we've become devoted fans -- his Tomato Basil Sauce is a revelation (We have very little willpower: the sauce has not made it onto pasta yet -- takes too long to cook and we adore it on crusty bread.) Over the Fourth of July weekend, we roasted several heads of Polish White Heirloom and Lorz Italian Heirloom Garlics. Incredible. Smoky, a little sharp, sweet. Everything you want in garlic. We used it in aioli, in eggplant-tomato-basil stacks, in a potato salad...we wish we had a dozen extra heads while the grill was hot!
Learn from our mistake and stock up this Saturday at Cheverly Community Market: Natural Nick's Produce will have Polish White Heirloom Garlic and Lorz Italian Heirloom Garlic (Nick's other garlic varieties -- Siberian, Chesnok Red, and Metech -- are still curing. They are quite large this season so it's taking extra time for them to cure, and we can't wait to sample them!) Nick will also have delicious Natural Nick's Tomato Basil Sauce, Natural Nick's Biscotti Antoinetta, Natural Nick's Fruit Conserves: Strawberry and Threeberry (a combination of blackberry, blueberry and rasberry), and Natural Nick's Baklava Alexandra. For those who prefer a gluten-free diet, Natural Nick will have the traditional Italian Amaretti Angelina (gorgeous!) This Saturday, Natural Nick will be sampling Biscotti Antoinetta...we can't wait!
As always, all products are naturally grown and produced in the traditional organic method by Natural Nick's Produce "Organic and Natural as nature intended."
