This Week at the Market: Shlagel Farms

This Saturday, Shlagel Farms will bring the rainbow right here to Cheverly: peaches, blackberries, yellow cherry tomatoes, large red, green and yellow tomatoes, green, red and speciality peppers, all kinds of eggplant, a variety of different squash, green beans, cabbage, yellow and red onions, scallions, leeks, kale and collard greens, cucumbers, seedless watermelon, seeded watermelons, canteloupe and a new melon called a "sugar cube". It resembles a canteloupe, only smaller, and tastes sweeter. A nice deal priced at $2, so this is a wonderful opportunity to add a new fruit to your "taste 1,000 fruits before you die" bucket list. 

Eileen will also have those gorgeous, fresh brown eggs. Fresh eggs are one of life's great pleasures, so make sure you pick some up. And Eileen will have a brand new helper this week, so please stop by and say hello to our very own Micah!
