This Week at the Market: Cheverly Daisies Troop 5093 Needs Your Help!

Do you know about the Daisies? They're kindergarten and first grade girls, the youngest group involved in the Girl Scouts (think of them as Brownies in training!) The girls learn about the environment, the world, being good citizens and being good friends through age- and developmentally-appropriate activities.

Right now, the girls of Cheverly Daisy Troop 5093 are doing a service project about helping animals. They're collecting items (no money please) for a local animal shelter and could use your help. This Saturday morning, the girls and some of their volunteer parents will have a table to take your donations of the following items:

* Dog food
* Cat food
* Old socks (they are made into toys)
* Old blankets
* Old towels
* Chew toys

If you can donate any of these items, please bring them to the Daisies on Saturday morning. Look for the little girls with big bright smiles and blue vests...they'll be very happy to see you!
