This week at the Market: KidMarket

Our opening day KidMarket was a great success -- kids learned about plant growth through stretching, games, and planting sunflower seeds with Master Gardener Dave Kneipp, then had a great yoga session with Rebecca Gitter! There were about 80 kids involved, and we look forward to many more exciting activities throughout the season! Saturday's KidMarket promises to be lots of fun...here are the details!

Kids' Hoop Dance Class at 9:30am taught by LaTanya Farrish Robinson of Joe's Movement Emporium. Hoop dancing is a creative and athletic approach to hula hooping. Kids will learn hula hooping tricks and dance fundamentals – and begin to combine the two.
At 10:30am, visit the KidMarket Table for a nature-inspired craft. Kids make Pine Cone Birdfeeders while Lower Beaver Dam's own Sheila Salo gives a talk on local birds. They can also color some beautiful birds (on paper!)

KidMarket is not only great fun: It's FREE. Just look for the KidMarket in front of the Community Center. Saturday promises to be an exciting day at the KidMarket, and we are looking forward to seeing you there!
